CLASS SEA WORLD CLASS ROOM DESCRIPTION
Lecture  Ocean Room – North Seating will be theatre style so bring your notebook and pen to take notes. 
Computer Ocean Room – South Seating will be classroom style so bring your notebook and pen to take notes. See FAQs regarding laptop classes.
Embroidery/AccuQuilt Dolphin Bay Room

In this room you will work on a PFAFF or Husqvarna Viking Embroidery Machine.

Ricoma Presidential In this room you will share a Ricoma. Learn how to turn your love of embroidery into a business.
Sweet Sixteen Melrose Room In this room you will share a Sweet Sixteen. If you own any other brand sit down machine or just want to try a Sweet Sixteen, this class is for you.
Longarm 1 Convention Room 1 In this room you will share a Simply Sixteen. If you own an Avante 18, Amara 20, Fusion 24, Infinity 26 or any other brand longarm machine this class is suitable. This is a great class if you are thinking of upgrading from a Sweet Sixteen.
Longarm 2 Convention Room 2 In this room you will share an Amara 20. If you own a Simply Sixteen, Avante 18, Fusion 24, Infinity 26 or any other brand longarm machine this class is for you.
Pro-Stitcher Convention Room 3 In this room you will share a Pro-Stitcher on an Amara 20. If you have a Pro-Stitcher or any other HQ Longarm machine, this class is suitable.

Registrations will open in August.

  • Morning Tea, Lunch and Afternoon tea will be provided as per the event timetable
  • One ticket for the Cocktail Party on Saturday evening- 5.15pm to 8pm (dinner on Saturday is at your own expense)
  • One ticket for the BQC Dinner on Sunday evening, including transport to the venue.

  • Up to 8 x 2.5 hour classes

Yes, Blessington has negotiated a special rate of $159 per night in a Resort Room. Otherwise you might like to treat yourself to an ocean view room. Check out the link under General Information – Accommodation for more options.

Sea World Resort is pleased to offer discounts for Blessington Conference Delegates who booked their accommodation at the resort using our delegate code. 

Refunds


  • 30 Days Prior to 18th Feb 2019 – 85% refund
  • 21 Days Prior to 18th Feb 2019 – 65% refund
  • 14 Days Prior to 18th Feb 2019 – no refund

If a refund is offered, the method of refund will be the same as payment. A $20 admin fee will be deducted from the refund.

Evening Functions


Yes, there will be tickets available for those not attending the Academy, but wishing to attend the BQC dinner. Additional dinner tickets cost $199 per ticket. For further information please click to Email Us.

No, there will be no additional tickets available.

Yes, Sea World will look after all dietary requirements. Just fill in your dietary requirements when you register.

No, dressing up is optional, but it’s always fun to dress up!

Class Selection


The class list will be available online June 30th 2018.

  • Beginner
  • Confident Beginner or Intermediate freehand Quilter
  • Confident Beginner or Intermediate freehand Quilter with experience using templates and rulers
  • All Skill Levels
  • All Skill Levels some Pro-Stitcher Experience required


You will need to email us to request a change, but do this quickly as you might miss the class you want! We cannot guarantee your new class selections. Email Us

After you have chosen 6 yellow classes, only blue classes will be available. If a class is sold out, it will also be greyed out.

It means if you select Class 1, you will be required to book Class 2.

It means that you can choose either Part A, Part B or both.

This means you bring along your own laptop or Pro-Stitcher Tablet. (If you have an Apple laptop, it must have a Windows Operating System installed and have Pro-Stitcher loaded for use.)

Yes, but you must attend a Pro-Stitcher Boot Camp first.

We would suggest you attend the Boot Camp first, you will then have the confidence and experience to attend more classes.

Instructions on how to install Art and Stitch will be on your class notes (available after 1st December)

Yes, but you must attend a Pro-Stitcher Boot Camp first and bring your laptop so the Program can be loaded onto your laptop for use in the Simulator class.

Double the Trouble (Premier+ 2 Software)


No, you will need to bring your laptop. Minimum operating requirement is Windows OS 8 or 10.

The software works on mac, but we will only use windows for this class.

Yes! As long as you have your windows laptop, we will be loading a free trial for the day.


Yes, the class will be based on quick and fun projects and you can always learn something new.

All non-owners will need to have this software loaded prior to the class. Between 2pm and 5pm on Friday, 15th February will be the installation time. You will receive an email with further instructions once you book in.

  • A mouse – it’s much easier to use!
  • A power cable for your laptop
  • USB stick minimum 8 GB
  • A notebook and pen

In some classes you will need to share machines. In Boot Camp classes you will have your own machine. For more details click on each class selection. 

Delegates will receive information on how to download the class list after the 1st December, 2018.

Use the Skill Level to help you with your selections. A boot camp will help you increase your skill level.


You can choose 8 classes. Out of these 8 classes, you need to choose a minimum of 2 blue classes and the rest are yellow. 

Neither. They are optional extra classes.

Yes of course! Our tutors will explain techniques that can be adapted for both sit down and long arm machines.

There is plenty of free parking available at Sea World Resort and outside the Conference Centre. There is also street parking. NOTE: Sea World Resort entrance is about 500 metres PAST the entrance to Sea World Theme Park. See Map.
